Marquette University basketball team is getting into to television, as the first half of their season will be taped (from the end of August through the Dec. 11 game the Golden Eagles play against Wisconsin). Billy Kraus, alumni of Marquette and owner of Authentic Films, has his company heading up the production for this show which can be seen on the school's website and Time Warner Sports (the school's flagship TV station). If only this show could have been done during the 2002-03 season (D-Wade era), but its cool because they have a nice freshman class with Jamail Jones, Vander Blue, and Reggie Smith. Also, head coach Buzz Williams is a personality alone which can carry a show from what I have been told.

NC State freshman Ryan Harrow talks with J Nicks and ET of 107.9 about how he became such a flashy basketball player. Harrow has been talked about a lot lately because of his great play at the NC Pro-Am. Slam recently named him as one of the best players in the pro-am which has featured some of the top college and NBA players over the last few years. Many fans have become familiar with the tournament when ESPN aired a dunk of John Wall flushing on Jerry Stackhouse.

| Is Cory Fisher underrated? Is 105 enough? |

Last week Villanova's, Cory Fisher scored a record 105pts at a Watson summer league game in the Bronx, NY. He went 23-28 from the three point line and had 72 points in the second half. Cory Fisher came out of the New York City area a few years ago as one of the nations top scoring guards. That's pretty impressive when you have Derrick Rose, Eric Gordan, and OJ Mayo all in the same class. Not only did he lead his St. Patrick's team to a NJ state title, but in the same year he put on an extraordinary performance on national tv beating a West Virginia high school team that consisted of OJ Mayo (Memphis Grizzles) and Patrick Paterson (Houston Rockets). That year Fisher was disappointed that he was not selected to the McDonald's All-American game but he played in the Jordan All-American were he went on to receive MVP honors. Fisher has improved every year since arriving at Villanova. Now a senior, Fisher is the leader of his wildcats team. In his final year of college he is trying to show NBA scouts that he is capable of running an NBA team. So with that being said is Cory Fisher underrated?

Two of the most celebrated recruits from Baltimore, Maryland have more in common right now than just being cousins. Josh Selby and Will Barton were both listed in Rivals Top 10 rankings last year and highly sought after from every university nationwide. Barton chose Memphis, while Selby decided to head to Kansas. Both of these guys are electrifying scorers and were expected to have immediate impact on their respective teams this fall. Unfortunately, Selby and Barton have both been listed as academically ineligible. Many fans are wondering how this could happen, especially at high major schools like Kansas and Memphis. It has been said that the NCAA puts red flags on recruits who have attended more than three schools during their high school career. Hopefully, after the NCAA reviews their transcripts they will be free and clear to play this season. College basketball fans will be missing out on two great players if this issue can't be resolved.

This past weekend I got a chance to speak with Jelan Kendrick while he was in Atlanta visiting family and friends. The Memphis Tiger is apart of the best college recruiting class in the nation for this upcoming season. Coach Josh Pastner is looking like John Calipari with the five star prospects he has brought in this year.
When speaking to Kendrick, he talked about the close knit family the team has come to be. "We do everything together. Workout, hang out, and have fun together. Everybody is really supportive of each other. They say last years team was not this close, and we wanted to be a family," said Jelan Kendrick.
With Joe Jackson, Will Barton, Tarik Black, and Jelan Kendrick, it will be easy for me to crown them C-USA champs. I think this team has the talent to be very special, and only time will tell.
