Jeremy Tyler is a 6'11 power forward with loads of potential. He made waves last year when he decided to forgo his senior year of high school, which is unheard of to pursue a professional career overseas. He landed in Israel, and boy did he have his ups and downs. In the 10 games that Tyler appeared with Maccabi Haifa he averaged 2 points and almost 2 rebounds, while only clocking 7 minutes per game. With five weeks left in the season Tyler up and quit the team and returned to the United States prompting a huge uproar amongst the basketball community proving most nay sayers right as hey all said that someone at that age couldn't handle the rigors of international ball. Fast forward 4 months later Tyler finds himself with another opportunity to showcase his talents on an international stage in Japan. The Tokyo Apache have given Tyler a second chance, and this time he isn't just playing to prove he has game. He must exhibit a mature attitude this go round, as NBA will no doubt be watching him closely since he will be eligible for next years draft. His coach in Japan, former head man for the Spurs Bob Hill will be a definite help for the young guns future. He has a year to turn the tables in his favor, stay tuned. |
