Will Chris Paul be set free? The New Orleans Hornets have been busy all summer trying to bring a winning program back to the beloved city of New Orleans. They hired former player and Portland assistant Monty Williams as their new head coach and they just recently hired another former player in Dell Demps to be their new GM. Things should now be in place right? Think again. Last month, Paul told ESPN the Magazine’s Chris Broussard that he would be open to a trade if the Hornets weren’t committed to winning championships. One month later, it appears CP3 wasn't kidding. Now he is demanding one. With the franchise being cash strapped, uncertain of ownership with a potential sale, and with no franchise changing moves made yet this summer, Paul isn't sure how committed management is to not just winning, but winning championships. His preferred destinations include, the Knicks, Orlando, Portland and Dallas. Paul is believed to like the route that his fellow friends LeBron James, Chris Bosh and Dwyane Wade have taken, looking to be paired with a superstar or two in quest for his first championship. Paul will be a free-agent after the 2011-2012 season. Hornets officials will meet with Paul's camp on Monday to discuss their options.
